StolenSpace is pleased to present 'Human – Nature', an exhibition by acclaimed British artist Kai & Sunny, exploring the invisible threads that connect people, the natural world, and the frequencies—seen and unseen—that govern both.
Known for his intricate, flowing linework and deep engagement with organic form, Kai Clements (Kai & Sunny) unveils a powerful new body of work that meditates on the rhythms and resonances between humanity and nature. Working primarily with acrylic on linen canvas, alongside a series of customised prints and intricate pen pieces, his latest body of work is layered with kinetic lines and hypnotic bursts of colour—each composition unfolding through smooth transitions and gradual turns. These works are not merely visual but experiential, drawing the viewer into shifting landscapes of movement and energy. Beneath the surface lies a deeper exploration of frequencies—both visible and invisible—that pulse through nature and the human psyche alike. With his signature precision and mesmerising control of form, Kai invites us to tune in to the quiet, often overlooked harmonies that shape our inner and outer worlds.
In a special feature of the exhibition, Kai & Sunny unites with long-time friend and internationally renowned artist D*Face. With a friendship spanning almost three decades, that took root back in art college, both artists have developed distinct yet deeply complementary styles that find harmony in this latest show. Human – Nature serves as a dialogue between the artists, between humans and the environment, between the chaos of urban life and the calm of organic forms.
Where Kai & Sunny brings his signature precision and organic abstraction, creating works that pulse with movement and repetition, mimicking the undulating patterns of wind, waves, and ecosystems. D*Face, known for his bold, rebellious style, responds with emotionally charged visuals that ground the abstract in human experience, emotion, and confrontation with nature's raw power.
Both artists present a unified yet diverse body of work—an exhibition that is both an aesthetic and philosophical exploration of our place in the natural world, and how our relationships mirror its complexity.
In conjunction with the exhibition, Kai & Sunny X D*Face will release a limited-edition collaborative silkscreen print.
A unique, hand-painted wavy skateboard deck shaped by Professor Schmitt will also be on display.
Human – Nature invites the audience to engage not only with the art, but with the questions it raises: How do we influence the world around us? How does nature shape the human psyche? And what does true collaboration—between people, and between humanity and the environment—look like?
